ESTABLISH TRUTH, PEACE AND JUSTICE
The life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be to him) shows that the ultimate aim of Islam is to establish truth, peace and justice in the world. Some teachings of the Prophet, in this regard, are noted hereunder:
• The son of Adam will not pass away from Allah until he is asked about five things: how he lived his life, and how he utilized his youth, with what means did he earn his wealth, how he spent his wealth, and what did he do with his knowledge.
(Tirmidhi),
• On the Day of Judgment, the most dejected person will be the one who ruins his (own) life to make good the (worldly) life of another person.
(Mishkat)
• The last Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be to him) in his last (farewell) sermon, addressing about one hundred and twenty thousand persons, said, “O people, your Lord is One, and your father is one: all of you are from Adam, and Adam was from the ground. The noblest of you in Allah’s sight is the one who is most God-consciousness: No Arab has any merit over a non-Arab, nor any non-Arab has any merit over an Arab; nor any black has any merit over a white, nor any white over any black save, on the basis of God-Consciousness.”
(Baihaqi)
• Qays ibn Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: A funeral passed by the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be to him) and he stood up. It was said to him, “It is a Jew.” The Prophet said, “Was he not a soul?”
(Bukhari and Muslim)
• Allah will not be merciful to those who are not merciful to mankind.
(Bukhari and Muslim)
• Do not inflict pain on servants of Allah.
(Abu-Daud)
• Allah will debar a person, who kills a Dhimmi (non-Muslims getting pledge of protection in an Islamic state), from entering the paradise.
(Nasai)
• Paradise is under the feet of mothers.
(Mishkat)
